How to Make
Ingredients
2 cups old-fashioned oats
2 cups milk
3 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional ingredients:
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
¼ cup raisins or other dried fruit
¼ cup diced apples or other fresh fruit
1 tablespoon of seeds, nuts or peanut butter
WIC Tip: Never feed honey to a child under one year of age.
Preparation
- In a large bowl combine oats, milk and honey or brown sugar. Mix well.
- Add cinnamon, vanilla and any optional ingredients.
- Transfer to a container with a lid and set in fridge overnight.
- Enjoy this dish cold or warm it up in the microwave for one minute.
