Take your Texas WIC Shopping List and your Texas WIC card to a store that sells WIC foods. Every eligible family members’ WIC foods are added together and printed on this list. You can also keep track of your benefits using the myWIC app.
Most numbers on the WIC Shopping List show quantities. For example, “4.50 gal” means 4 1/2 gallons. For fruits and vegetables, a dollar amount is listed. For example, “$8.00 VALUE” means that you can buy $8 worth of fruits and vegetables.
When you use your Texas WIC card, another WIC foods receipt prints out after shopping. This WIC receipt shows your ending balance of what and how much food is left on your card for the rest of the month. Take this receipt on your next shopping trip.
If you lose your receipt, don’t worry. You can get another copy that shows your balance from your local clinic and grocery store, or by downloading the myWIC app.
