  • Therapeutic formulas

    See the Texas WIC Formulary for available therapeutic formulas, which require health partners to fill out a Texas WIC Medical Request for Formula/Food Form. WIC approval is required.

  • Requesting Metabolic formulas

    Metabolic formula products are available for the treatment of inborn errors of metabolism and metabolic disorders.

    Requests for metabolic formulas must come from recognized metabolic centers using the Texas WIC Medical Request for Metabolic Formula/Food.

    WIC staff do not counsel or provide education concerning these specialized medical conditions, but must approve all metabolic formula requests.
